Thirty one officers and officials of the Central Bureau of Investigation received Police Medals from President Pranab Mukherjee on Monday. While six officers and officials received President’s Police Medals for Distinguished Service, 25 others received Police Medals for Meritorious Service.
Those CBI officers who received Medals for Distinguished Service included Harish Chander Sharma, SP (ACB) Jodhpur, S. Balasubramony, Addl. SP (AIGP-II) New Delhi, Vijay Kumar Shukla, DSP (SC-II) New Delhi, Krishnaswamy Kumaresan, Inspector (EOW) Chennai, Rawel Singh, ASI (SU) New Delhi and Samiar Kumar Karmakar, Constable (BS and FC) Kolkata.
Among the 25 officers who received Medals for Meritorious Service included IPS officers Ashwani Kumar Chand, DIG (AC-I) New Delhi and Navjyoti Gogoi, DIG Guwahati.
Other officers including Subhash Ramrup Singh, Addl. SP (SCB) Mumbai, Sanjay Kumar Dhall, DSP (STF) New Delhi, Nagesh Murlidhar Parab, DSP (SU) Mumbai, Neeraj Agarwal, DSP (BS&FC) Mumbai, Atul Hajela, DSP (ACB) New Delhi, Surender Singh, DSP (EO-II) New Delhi, loverson Kuruvila, DSP (ACB) Chennai and Maharshi Ray Hajong, DSP (ACB) Guwahati also received Meritorious Medals.
