A six-month-old premature foetus was found in a plastic bag in Southeast Delhi’s Sarita Vihar area on Friday afternoon.
Confirming the incident, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southeast) Chinmoy Biswal said, “We received a PCR call around 12.45 pm from nearby a garbage dump at the O Block Janta flat that a newborn has been found.
An ERV accompanied by an Emergency officer rushed to the spot near the Okhla Vihar and found a female premature foetus, sealed in a plastic bag. The foetus seems to be five to six months old.”
“The body has been sent to AIIMS. A case has been registered under IPC Section 318 ,” the DCP added.
