A 26-year-old pregnant woman was found dead under mysterious circumstances in her apartment complex in Noida’s Sector 82 on Thursday morning. Family members of the victim in Mumbai have alleged she was killed by her husband.
On the basis of allegations made, police have arrested the victim’s husband and mother-in-law. However, the victim’s husband claimed his wife had jumped to her death. Police have however, sent the body for a post- mortem exam. According to police sources, the incident came to light around 8 am on Thursday when the security personnel of Kendriya Vihar society found the victim, Sejal Jain,
lying in a pool of blood. “She was taken to Yatharth Hospital but she was pronounced dead on arrival,” a senior police official said. Initial investigation revealed the victim was expecting. Along with husband Anurag Jain, an employee with Reliance Group, and mother-in-law, she lived on the fifth floor of Kendriya Vihar. They were both reportedly present in the flat at the time of the incident.
