On the second consecutive day Pre-monsoon showers drenched several parts of the Capital that helped Delhiites set the mood for a pleasant weekend. Neighbouring places of Noida and Ghaziabad too received rain making the weather pleasant. Strong winds preceded the rain and added to the delight of city residents.

Humidity levels, however, remained high as the maximum humidity in the air soared up to 91 per cent. According to the Met forecast, thundershowers and rain will continue to occur and this would lead to the burst of monsoon.
BP Yadav, Director of the Indian Metrological Department, said, “The rain will continue persistently in Delhi. This would lead to the burst of Monsoon. The reason can be attributed to the moisture coming from the Bay of Bengal and Indian Ocean.
