The disruption in power supply in various areas of East Delhi is expected to continue till April 25 as the Public Works Department has requested for extension of the shut-down of 220 KV Maharani Bagh-Gazipur Circuit I and II due to construction of Barapullah flyover Phase-III.

To facilitate the construction, 220 KV Maharani Bagh-Gazipur Circuit- 1 and 2 was first stated to be shut-down from April 2 to 16.

The Delhi Transco limited said load shedding may be experienced in some areas of Delhi, including Mayur Vihar, Patparganj, laxmi Nagar, Vivek Vihar, Dilshad Garden, Yamuna Vihar, Preet Vihar and Geeta Colony.
