Two days after a class IX student of Ahlcon Public School committed suicide, the Gautam Budh Nagar police are yet to make any arrest in the incident
The 15-year-old girl hanged herself at her Noida Sector 52 residence owing to academic and sexual harassment by her two subject teachers.
A senior police officer said, “Prima facie, it is difficult to understand if the girl was intentionally failed or the teacher made any advances towards the girl.”
Police on Thursday said that the family is demanding the arrest of the accused in the case but "we are yet to find a connection between the three persons and the allegations levelled against them.
"We have not got any evidence against the three till now but we are trying to connect the dots between the three, based on the family member's allegation. The girl has not left behind any suicide note and neither she has named any one in any way. We will only be able to arrest anyone after we find concrete evidences," said Rajeev KumarSingh, Circle Officer 2 (City).
Police have asked them to corporate with them in the matter but thefamily members blocked the roads and created an issue for the generalpublic.
"We had asked the family to come to us for any sort of help or demand.
However, this behavior by the family members is not at all tolerable.
We are trying our best to collect proofs so that we can make a headway. We will do fair probe into this case and based on the findings appropriate action will be taken," said Singh.
According to a senior police officer, "a lot of students failed in Maths, Science and Social science so we can't say if she was failed deliberately. However, we understand that it is a very serious issue and hence we are thoroughly investigating it. No conclusions on the case can be reached so early."
The Gautam Budh Nagar Police has filed an FIR against two teachers and the Principal of the Ahlcon Public School for allegedly abetting suicide, physical harassment and under POCSO Act. It has been alleged in the FIR that the girl was disturbed because of allegedsexual advances by one of the teachers.
The class 9 student, who committed suicide on Tuesday, was a residentof Sector 52 in Noida. Her family has alleged that one of the teachersof the school had tried to abuse her sexually and had even threatenedto fail her in the examination while the other discouraged her repeatedly.
