Unable to find any evidence even after a week following the horrendous Mandpura gangrape case, the police are now examining the criminal records of the gangs who were involved in such incidents earlier in Haryana and the neighbouring States. The city police are also going to make a sketch of one of the accused with the help of a victim who had seen a face of the accused.

Meanwhile, the Gurugram police top brass held a meeting with their counterparts in the neighbouring States of Delhi, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, police officials said on Saturday.

The meeting took place at the Manesar police station and lasted for around four hours. "We discussed the case with other State police officials and shared and exchanged the information of this case with them. We urged them to share the information or any development which can be helpful for us to solve this case," said Sumit Kuhar, DCP (crime) of Gurugram police. "We asked them to share the information about the criminals who were involved in similar crimes in other states which can be helpful for us to get any clue," he added.

"The same kind of crime had happened in the Tupple in Uttar Pradesh. Special investigation team (SIT) also raids in several areas to nab the accused," a senior police official said.

Haryana Commission for Women (HCW) vice-president Suman Dahiya has visited the rape victims and assured them to provide justice. Dahiya also a wrote a letter to the DGP of Haryana for a speedy investigation.
