Delhi Congress president Ajay Maken on Friday thanked the people of Delhi for giving tremendous support to party's Vasooli Diwas campaign against the Aam Aadmi Party, held in Delhi from October 17 to 28.
“The AAP has squandered the hard-earned money of the people for its self publicity and political agenda,” he said.
Maken attended the concluding function at 12 Tooti and said the Congress workers had met the target of getting 8 lakh 54 thousand signatures four days ago, but the campaign was extended to October 28 to complete 10 lakh signatures, which was easily achieved due to the tremendous response extended by the people of Delhi.
Maken said according to CAG (Comptroller and Auditor General) the Delhi Government’s advertisements had misleading information for its self propaganda. He said the CAG, in its report, had also noted that the Government had failed to provide satisfactory replies to its questions.
