Taking a dig at Delhi government’s education department, Leader of the Opposition in the Delhi Assembly Ramvir Singh Bidhuri said due to the connivance and negligence of the Kejriwal government, the parents of the Capital are being openly exploited. “This year the schools increased the fees without permission, denied admission to the children of EWS quota, included the books of arbitrary publishers in the syllabus, and earned an illegal profit in the sale of books copies. The Delhi government can cancel the recognition of such schools, but the government did not take any action,” he said.
Bidhuri said the Delhi government claims that it has stopped the arbitrariness of private schools in the Capital and has not allowed fee hikes, but this is a blatant lie as most of the schools have increased the fee manifold in the last eight years.
