Panel on Welfare of OBCs has no jurisdiction, Special Secy (V) tells Assembly

Senior IAS officer and Special Secretary (Services) YVVJ Rajasekhar has sent a reminder to Delhi Assembly, reiterating that the Committee on Welfare of OBCs has no jurisdiction to deal with such matters keeping in view of the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (Amendment) Ordinance, 2023. In a reminder to Sadanand Sah, Deputy Secretary, Delhi Assembly, Rajasekhar said that the letter of AV Premnath, DANICS officer indicates that this was referred to CBI.

“There is a discrepancy in the record. In the past also Premnath has misled the courts and in this context a proposal was submitted to competent authority for prosecution sanction against AV Premnath and the same is under process. Premnath is trying to use the observation of Assembly for certain ulterior motives”.

“From the order of Supreme Court as referred by Premnath in his representation submitted before the Assembly upon which the Assembly had given notice to the undersigned, has not referred this matter to CBI. This is a misrepresentation of facts,” he said.
