In a surprise move the Delhi Government on Thursday relieved all the senior IAS officers who were transferred by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) two days ago. Over two dozen senior officials — transferred a few days ago — were facing the heat in the ongoing tussle between the AAP Government and Raj Niwas, said sources.
Interestingly, Principal Secretary-cum-Commissioner Transport, Parimal Rai, 1985 batch officer — the officer behind the success of odd and even programme was transferred as advisor to the Administrator, Chandigarh on Wednesday —was relieved on Thursday afternoon.
