Soon after the Special Session of the Delhi Assembly commenced on the second day on Thursday, leader of Opposition in the Delhi Assembly Vijender Gupta and party MlAs Manjinder Singh Sirsa and Jagdish Pradhan were marshaled out for holding protest in the House.
The BJP leaders were demanding an apology from Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia for "misleading" the Assembly by levelling false allegations against the Centre during a discussion on Wednesday on the demand for full Statehood to Delhi.
Speaker Ram Niwas Goel asked the Opposition MlAs to maintain silence and to take their seats. However, Gupta and Sirsa continued raising their demand, following which the Speaker asked marshals to take them out of the House.
Gupta expressed surprise that the Kejriwal Government which submitted resignation after 49 days on account of its failure to adopt Jan lokpal Bill is now shying away from the issue.
The Opposition leaders also presented a memorandum to the Speaker before commencement of the House protesting against Sisodia's statement in which he said that the bill passed by the Assembly is lying with the Centre.
Gupta said that the fact is that the Bill is lying not with Centre but with the Delhi Government's Administrative Reforms Minister Kailash Gahlot since September 14 last year. He expressed fear that either the file has been misplaced or even made to disappear.
The BJP leaders demanded that the deputy Chief Minister must apologise before the House for his giving misleading statement in the assembly.
