A 10-feet long uncovered manhole in the middle of the road on Bungalow Road nearby Raj Niwas has become a major cause of worry for the residents of the posh area.
“It is very dangerous for people to walk through or ride in cars in this particular road as the manhole is open. While it is particularly dangerous for the pedestrians as they can fall into the hole. Also, two-wheelers and four-wheelers are facing trouble,” said VC Pandey, Secretary (Art and Culture), Delhi Government who resides at Bunglaow Road.
Earlier, many untoward incidents have taken place due to the open manhole but no major steps have been taken to cover it up, said residents, adding that many people have been injured.
