Candidates applying to the undergraduate courses of Delhi University are facing hardship over “not being able to complete” the online registration process. A lot of candidates are complaining that they are getting “stuck” with the registration process, Dean Student’s Welfare told The Pioneer.
“Once the candidate fills the registration form, a link to verify the registration process, along with a username and password, is sent to the applicant’s personal email ID. Unless the applicant clicks on that link, the application process would be incomplete. We have received ample queries that applicants are not able to complete the registration process....but the problem is they are missing the step to verify through this link,” said DU’s Dean Student’s Welfare.
The worry is that many of them might not be aware that the registration is incomplete. In the evening in the Open House on Friday, a lot of aspirants were also anxious over the ECA and Sports admissions procedure. The university asks to upload on three certificates while students are confused over choosing the particulars.
This is for the first time that the university has introduced completely online admission procedure for UG admissions unlike previous years when it used to be both online and offline. While “Open Days” counselling sessions are being conducted to answer admission related queries of parents and students, the varsity has also uploaded an animated video on YouTube detailing the filling up of application forms and further process.
