The major arterial roads of Noida, which face maximum vehicular rush, are being converted into ‘one-way-only’ provisionally from this Friday onwards. However, minor adjustments would be made to the traffic flow, once the plan is tested on ground.
The final road-map released by the superintendent of police, Noida, Dinesh Yadav shows a circular movement of traffic from Delhi via Udyog Marg, both lanes, till HCl in Sector 11. Similarly, both lanes via Delhi-bound traffic movement via Vyapar Marg (Bans Balli Market Road) to Nayabans Dadri Road would be one way as well.
Superintendent of Police, Noida Dinesh Yadav said traffic is too worse along these busiest routes. The one-way plan will be helpful to provide fast connectivity between Delhi to inner circle of Noida. “Plan has been ready to go on trial from Friday. As the flow of traffic on these two 5 km long stretch will have to increase on the first day, We allowed the JCBs to raze temporary illegal encroachments at two bottlenecks sector-5 and Bash Bali market that are encroached by 500 vendors. The Noida Police has warned around 300 industrialists along these routes who had occupied service road to park their vehicles,” SP Dinesh Yadav said.
“Direction sign boards and barricading have been placed at each cut and intersections to direct one-way plan to the commuters. Two dozen traffic constables, six sub-inspectors with the supervision of senior police officials will monitor to regulate traffic. The timings have been proposed between 8am to 8pm.” SP said.
The move comes after entrepreneurs sought one-way traffic at these passages to provide smooth traffic for the commuters as well as industries coming from Delhi and other areas of Noida.
The commuters coming from New Ashok Nagar, Akshardham and Sector-18 will get one-way passage from Sector-15 intersection to reach sector-11 via Udyog Marg. Meanwhile, the commuters coming from Noida stadium, sector-11, 12 will get one-way passage from Swani furniture to sector-15 via sector-5, Naya bash road.
