leader of the BJP’s legislative party, Vijender Gupta fought like a valiant warrior even on the second day of the Delhi Assembly session on Tuesday. Despite being booed and sniggered at, ‘lone ranger’ Gupta alleged that Kejriwal secretly summoned VAT officials and asked them collect around Rs30,000 crore by conducting raids.
Even as the BJP is reduced to just three MlAs now from 31 in the 2013 Assembly elections, MlA from Rohini and former Delhi BJP president Gupta said his voice was heard loud and clear in the House. Criticising the Government’s “vision document”, he said AAP leaders were only busy asking for rights as Ministers and MlAs and that it lacked the intent of “action”.
He gave a list of “bogus orders” claimed to have taken up by the AAP Government which included matters like legalising jhuggi clusters and proscribing any demolition of such clusters. Gupta also lambasted Kejriwal Government for waiving off mandatory environmental clearance for setting up small and medium industries.
He also took a swipe at Kejriwal that contractual employees were there for quite some time and none of them were going to be removed. Hence, the claim by Kejriwal Government that none of the contractual employees will be removed is a farce.
