In a bid to provide relief to the residents of Kirari, a bus service was launched from Kirari to remote parts of Bihar. The move is expected to provide a huge relief during festive time.
The bus will initially operate its services twice a week on selected routes such as Muzaffarpur, Dharbhanga, Benipatti and all the way to Nepal border of Madhwapur, said Bharatiya Janata Party in-charge of Social Media and IT Cell Pratyush Kanth. He also flagged-off a bus on its maiden journey to Bihar from Kirari on Thursday.
Kanth said that the move will benefi around eight lakh people living in the areas. “The area has been neglected by the Government,” he alleged.
He further said residents of 106 resettlement colonies of Kirari are fighting for a police station and a local government hospital. “Residents kept writing to the government requesting to open the basic health care services but they have not been listened in the past few years,” he said.
