Students of South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) schools will now avail digital classrooms and latest infrastructure.

lieutenant-Governor Najeeb Jung inaugurated library and smart classrooms of the school on Thursday and lauded the idea of teaching. “The SDMC is involved in building the future of the country by educating these students with the high tech educational facilities. Those who have money can go to private schools but the rest 70 per cent of poor students can't afford it. So this is the platform, where these children will be given proper education with innovative ideas", the l-G said.

SDMC Primary School was the one that had come with this idea two years ago, associating with Ark Foundation, an UK based charity that decided to use innovative practices first time in India.  Ramkumari, mother of a 2nd standard student, SDMC Primary School said, "I am really happy that my son is learning here and getting education with latest technology. He is learning new things regularly.”

Prithvi Singh, grandfather of a student at SDMC School said, "The teachers of SDMC educate  students with creative ideas and games, so that the students can learn easily and effectively. They also provide healthy meals like breakfast and lunch to the students every day. My grandson is learning here for two years since its inception", he added.
