Delhi BJP hailed the Centre’s decision for setting up a three-member delimitation committee for redrawing of boundaries of the municipal wards.
Delhi BJP president Adesh Gupta said this step will go a long way for betterment and strengthening of unified corporation and this would in turn benefit Delhiites.
Addressing the media, Gupta said now the corporation would be able to function more smoothly and better.
The notification issued says the delimitation exercise would be completed in four months and committee will then give report to government. Leader of the Opposition in Delhi Assembly, Rambir Singh Bidhuri also hailed the Centre’s decision for setting up a delimitation committee for the municipal wards.
“This is the indication that the Centre is keen to hold elections in the municipal body. The AAP leaders have misled the people that BJP is not in favour of the MCD polls,” he said.
Delhi BJP spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor has on Saturday said with every passing day AAP leaders are showing that how immature they are with their reactions and comments.
Till yesterday AAP leaders were crying and asking when will Centre form delimitation Committee for MCD and now when it has been announced they are questioning why its terms and conditions have not been issued.
