Noida Police to revoke licences of three security agencies

Noida Police have decided to crack down on private security agencies which do not comply with existent norms. According to the police, an audit revealed a majority of the employees of these companies with a criminal background. The city police have initiated a process of cancelling licences of three such companies. The move comes following investigation of several cases of thefts by guards employed by the agencies, especially in the industrial areas of the city.

Police said that the security guards employed by the defaulter security agencies have been found to be involved in criminal activities. "Three agencies, identified as Marco Detective Services located in Sector-18, G3 Security Personnel Services Private limited in Sector-10 and Sakhsham Inc Security in Sector-27, have been found to be flouting Section 15 of the Private Security Agencies (Regulation) Act 2005. The guards and supervisors with criminal records have been recruited on fake documents and none of these agencies have ever approached the police for their verification," said Rajkumar Mishra, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Noida.

Every security agency needs to obtain permission from the police to recruit and deploy armed guards. Unfortunately, a lot of companies have not followed this process properly. "We have submitted a report to the Additional DGP of law and order, Arun Kumar, and have initiated the process of revoking licences of security agencies which have failed to comply with government norms, more so in terms of carrying out verification of security personnel employed and checking their antecedents," RK Mishra said.
