His lawyer on Tuesday appealed in the district session court of Additional Chief Justice Magistrate, Parul Pawar that he could not appear in the court
due to a valid reason while seeking another date for hearing. He will now have to appear on Wednesday to surrender anyhow.
Three days have passed since the incident took place.
Deceased Gulfam’s family alleged that the police is trying to shield the accused as three days have passed but they have failed to arrest him. Gulfam’s father Aabid Ali said that the Noida police is shielding the accused and is not mounting pressure to arrest him.
However, police had filed a non-bailable warrant against the accused gym owner Vinod Kumar in the court on Monday. While his advocates had moved a bail plea, the court had rejected it earlier.
