Noida residents want railway station in the city as they are forced either to go to Ghaziabad railway station or to Delhi for boarding a train. However, there is no proposal of railway station in Noida’s master plan.

While the Howrah-Delhi railway line is passing through district Gautam Budh Nagar, but the super fasts trains do not stop there.

However, there is good news for Greater Noida residents who had to travel to Delhi to catch trains as the Greater Noida Authority has started planning for the development of Bodaki Railway station as junction. The railways have given a green signals for biggest railway junction there.

Bodaki transport hub would be the starting point for the Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor.

Federation of Noida Resident Welfare Association (FONRWA) NP Singh said that the RWAs have been demanding from Noida Authority and even central government to pass a proposal for railway connectivity in Noida. “Noida city is an industrial and commercial hub. Besides this, a large number of population lives here in residential societies. They have a daily need to travel in rail but there is no facility in this smart city. People face problems to board a train from Ghaziabad and Delhi as the stations are 20-25 Km away from Noida,” NP Singh said.
