The Noida authority on Friday launched anti-encroachment drive against the encroachers. It reclaimed land worth Rs 200 crore in Barola village of Noida sector 74. The land was illegally occupied by a coloniser. An FIR has also been registered against two colonisers.
Deputy Chief Executive Officer (DCEO), Noida Authority Saumaya Srivastava said this land was reserved as grazing land but a small time builder has occupied it.
“Colonisers have constructed building on the land. We had freed it under a massive anti-encroachment drive. We received repeated complaints about illegal grabbing of land in this sector,” said DCEO.
