Delhi would continue to remain on high alert despite no violence being reported following a Special CBI Court in Haryana pronouncing a 20-year jail term for rape convict Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh on Monday.
Announcing this, Deputy Commissioner of Police and Delhi Police spokesperson Madhur Verma told journalists that unlike last week when the guilty verdict was pronounced and a dozen cases of arson were reported leading to 15 arrests in different parts of the city, things were peaceful this time.
Verma said all arrangements would continue overnight and they will assess the situation and if need be continue them for the next couple of days as well.
