No update of courts website in 3 months

At a time when  citizens have been promised justice through “e courts”,  and online judgments, the Delhi district courts dysfunctional website fails to stand on the promise. The daily orders which should be posted online have not been made available for the past three months.

Except Tis Hazari courts, litigants at Patiala House courts, Rohini Courts, Saket courts, and Karkardooma courts are facing a tough time availing the orders online.

“It is a really challenging task for us as it not only consumes our time but also burdens us with a lot of paper work. When we get the hard copy of the order, we wait till it gets signed from the judge. The judge reads it thoroughly and dictates the judgment to the court staff. A major chunk of our time goes in waiting for that. It becomes easy for us when the order is posted online as in the meanwhile, we can perform other duties,” said one distressed lawyer.
