No safety measures for women in AAP's Budget: Manoj Tiwari

Published on:

Reacting on the Budget presented by Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia in Delhi Assembly, BJP State president Manoj Tiwari said that  although the Budget has disappointed in all the spheres but today on the International Women’s Day, it has been disappointed women the most because the Government has not made any provision in the Budget for the CCTV or other safety measures.

“In this budget presented just before the civic elections there is no provision or indication for implementing the recommendations of Fourth Delhi Finance Commission, meaning thereby the financial condition of the Municipal Corporations will not improve and there is no possibility of improvement in the sanitation work in near future,” said Tiwari.

He further said that this Budget is also silent on the Mohalla Sabha scheme earlier announced by the Government. “The Government had in its election manifesto stressed upon the need to increase production of power and supply power at cheap rates but in its third budget Delhi Government has neither made any special provisions for increasing the power production nor on strengthening the present transmission lines,” said BJP State president.
