Janata Dal (United) (JD-U) on Sunday sharpened attack on the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for neglecting the interest of Purvanchalis.
The party also alleged that the issues faced by the Purvanchalis have never been addressed by any of the political parties despite the long promises made before every election.
Party’s national general secretary and Delhi unit in-charge Sanjay Jha said, “The BJP had promised to eradicate corruption in corporations but nothing happened. We are concerned at the blatant neglect of the issues faced by purvanchalis that played an important role in the social, cultural, economic and political lives of Delhi.”
“The BJP’s and the AAP’s have always given fake promises to the people of Purvanchal and in this election also, it is no less different,” he said.
The JD(U) leader also said that AAP and the BJP are fighting on posters and hoardings issues to hide their failures.
Earlier, Bihar Chief Minister and JD(U) chief Nitish Kumar addressed two rallies in Delhi where he emphasised the work done by his Government in Bihar, including total prohibition imposed effectively in the State.
“Restoring the pride of Purvanchalis and ensuring a dignified life with with all the requisite infrastructure facilities are some of the primary focus for the JD(U). Both the BJP and the AAP have been indulging in making promises to woo the voters but nothing is done on ground,” he said.
Sunil Kumar, a resident of ward number 57 (E) Karawal Nagar said that People are fed up with both the AAP and the BJP.
The BJP is ruling the Corporation for ten years but have done nothing to solve the existing problems. Similarly the AAP is also busy in making people fool by doing unlialistic promises.
JD (U) candidate from ward number 12 (E) Patparganj said “We are getting huge support from public and I can assure that the poll results will be very shocking.
While Subhash Kashyap,a JD(U) candidate from ward number 7 (N) Burari said “ All parties are eying on Poorvanchalli’s vote bank but neither of them have solve their issues faced by voters after once elected. Now people have got an alternative and prepared to extend their support for the party.
The JD (U) is contesting elections in approximately 100 seats which have a large majority of voters from Purvanchal. Interestingly, the party will be contesting the municipal polls against the AAP whom they had supported in the 2015 Assembly elections in Delhi.
