North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NMC) on Wednesday launched two-month long special sanitation drive in all its six zones. The sanitation drive would be launched with coordination of all departments of the Corporations, Non Governmental Organisation (NGOs), ‘Resident Welfare Association’ (RWAs), market associations and other stakeholders.
Praveen Gupta, Commissioner to North Municipal Corporation said that the special sanitation drive is being launched to augment the efforts under ongoing Swachh Bharat Mission and in view of the upcoming monsoon season.
“A comprehensive action plan has been prepared for strict compliance of all components of the sanitation drive. A special focus of the drive is to seek maximum possible participation and involvement of citizens,” he said.
