North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NMC) on Tuesday sealed 19 properties in Civil line, Khan Market and areas of Rohini Zone for misusing spaces.
A senior NMC official said that the officials of building department took the action following the direction of the 'Supreme Court Empowered Monitoring Committee'.
Meanwhile, East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC) also sealed four stilt parking in Shahdara and Mansarovar. “The officials of the building department initiated the action in the morning and reached on several spots but due to unavailability of police force, sealing action was not taken in Jyoti Nagar and Yamuna Vihar,” said an official of the EDMC.
Thousands of shops and properties have been sealed in the drive which was started in December last year by the municipal corporation for violating norms of 'Master Plan 2021'.
