A Nigerian national fell from the roof of a house in south Delhi’s Mehrauli ward number 8 at the wee hours of Wednesday.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, south district, Chinmoy Biswal, said that the woman identified as 30-year-old Cope, a resident of Chattarpur enclave near lavanya hospital, was in inebriated state and had forcibly entered the compound of CHOICE apartment in Mehrauli by pushing the guard identified as Parmod. Thereafter she entered house number 1043/8 and jumped off its roof after a while, said the official.
“The incident took place around 4:30 am in the morning. The woman then went to the roof which is on the third floor and fell off. The entire incident was captured in CCTV,” said the additional DCP.
After she fell down, locals present made a PCR call which came and took her to the AIIMS trauma centre where she is currently undergoing treatment.
“ Other details are awaited as she has suffered a fracture in her leg and is being operated upon. Statements of an eyewitness named Divyanshu and the guard Parmod have been recorded,” said the police official.
