A 33-year-old Nigerian national was arrested on the alleged charges of running a drug racket since 2009 that used to supply high quality cocaine to national Capital’s pubs and bars. Delhi Police also recovered drugs worth Rs54 lakhs in the international market.
The accused identified as Fill alias Steve, who is now lodged in Tihar Jail, is serving imprisonment under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
“The Delhi Police with his arrest claims to burst a well-organised drug racket,” said a senior police official.
“Fill was arrested on April 2 from central Delhi’s Rajendra Nagar area…He had gone to supply 54 grams of pure cocaine to one of his well-heeled clients,” added the officer. The drug was worth between Rs10 lakh and Rs50 lakh, depending on negotiation, and would have fetched at least Rs54 lakh in the international market.
