New time-saving fee refund policy for aspiring DU students

Published on:

Delhi University (DU) has made the refund policy for admissions across its colleges much easier and time-saving for the candidates who struggle to switch from one college to the college of their preference.

While the cut-offs of popular DU colleges are skyrocketing, the students apply to various colleges to reserve admission until they meet the cut-offs in their preferred colleges or courses. Earlier, the students had to wait for the admission process to end to get the refund while they also had to pay the fees of the other college.

Gurpreet Singh Tuteja, Deputy Dean, Student’s Welfare said: “According to this new policy, the candidate has to submit only the differential amount in case the fee of the college where candidate is applying is more than that of the college from which they have withdrawn.”

“If the fee of previous college is higher than the college where student is applying, then the amount will be refunded after the admission process ends in DU.”

Most students take admission in any college and course after the first two to three cut-off lists are released and later withdraw as per the choice in other preferred courses and colleges.

This change of policy will ease the refund system for university as well as students. DU’s admission rush started on May 22 and the last date to apply is May 31.
