NDMC organises ‘Suvidha Camps’ at Palika Kendra to address public grievances

To redress the grievances of the residents on the spot, the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) organised its second ‘Suvidha Camps’ at Palika Kendra in New Delhi. The camp which was organised at the NDMC headquarters to Second Suvidha Camp for information, facilitation and redressal of public grievances saw as many as 125 public grievances. Among 125 complaints, 39 were verbal and 86 written grievances were submitted in the second camp.

“The most of the grievances were about the Enforcement, Public Health, Civil Engineering, Accounts/Finance, Personnel and Tax Departments.  The 26 teams of various departments of NDMC had been deputed to sort out the grievances across the table in the camp,” said an official.

Out of 125 grievances, around 115 complaints were solved by the council at one go. “The remaining ten unresolved grievances were of such a nature, which takes a little more time due to official procedure. However, the complainants were informed about the timeline to sort out such cases,” said another senior NDMC official. The representatives of Resident Welfare Associations, Market Traders Associations and other residents attended the camp and appreciated the step being undertaken by the Council. The next Suvidha Camp will be organised on January 12, 2019.
