Naqvi: Modi Govt put control on middlemen and power brokers

Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Sunday said that the Modi Government has put an effective control on middlemen and power brokers and has stopped leakage of funds. He further said that the Government did an excellent job to bring good days for poor, farmers and weaker sections of the society by launching 59 schemes in last two years.

Naqvi was in Noida along with his colleague and Union Minster of State (Tourism and Culture) and MP Gautam Budh Nagar district Mahesh Sharma in an event of ‘Vikas Parv’ on occasion of two years of Modi Government.

Naqvi said that the Government has established a corruption-free and development-oriented system in the country in last two years. “It was Congress party whose leaders were doing bhangda of brashtachar wearing Ghotale Ka Ghungru in its rule. It was challenge for Modi Government to overcome it,” he said.

The Modi Government brought a remarkable change in lPG connection, postal core banking branches, electricity connection and road connectivity across the country, he said.

“Indian economy has been growing at more than 7.5 per cent. India attracted foreign direct investment (FDI) worth $63 billion in 2015. Road and rail infrastructure has been developed with a great speed in two years as more than 6000 km National Highways were constructed in 2015-16. It means more than 12 KM roads were constructed every day,” he said.

He also said the Government has taken a tough stand on the issue of terrorism.

When asked about Ram Mandir issue ahead of Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, he said that it was neither a political issue nor electoral. “The matter is sub-judice and the Government is committed to construct the temple with talks,” he said.

However, he added that the BJP will make its Government in Uttar Pradesh. “BJP is working hard ahead of Uttar Pradesh polls. BJP will come in power in UP and the Chief Minister would be from BJP hailing from UP. The present ruling Samajwadi Party Government has failed to control law and order and there is a Gunda Raj in the State. The leaders are nursing the criminals,” Naqvi said.

Union Minster Mahesh Sharma said the Central Government has brought schemes of Rs30,000 crore in twin cities Noida and Greater Noida in last two years.

Now, both cities are going to emerge as international tourism hubs. “The Akshardham temple in Delhi will be connected with tourism places in Noida Greater Noida. The Dalit Prena Sthal, Night Safari, Formula One Race, Nalgadha Memorial will be marked under tourism routes. The Government has approved an airport in Jewar and giant power plants in Greater Noida,” Minster Sharma said.
