Delhi Police teams probing sensational murder of a girl in a Mercedes car are re-constructing the scene of crime and the sequence of events that led to the murder by her friend in Najafgarh area of South West Delhi. A police team took the accused, Shubham, who had allegedly shot dead 17-year-old-Simran to various places where he stayed. He was also taken to Haridwar to ascertain his movements before being arrested by the police.

DCP Surender Kumar said, “Our teams have taken Shubham to Haridwar. They are trying to re-create the escape routes, the place where he hid himself in Haridwar and Tughlakabad. This is part of the post-arrest investiation to collect evidence, after which we will produce him in the court.”

A senior police officer privy to the investigation, said, “To help in collecting crucial evidence, we have taken Shubham to Haridwar  on the same train at the Delhi Cantonment railway station via which he fled from the city on the day of the murder. Our police team is taking him to the exact places where he first trimmed his hair and shaved off his beard and further Shubham went ahead to stay in Haridwar. After he stayed at the city for a day, he came to Tughalakbad and stayed there for nearly 40 hours.”

“The police team will go to the place where Shubham had hid among the husk at a shed in the residential complex of a friend's place. From there, the investigating team along with the team of Forensic Science laboratory will pick up the crucial evidence to make it a watertight case”, the official said.

The Delhi Police will further recreate the crime scene on Monday, once Shubham is brought back to Delhi, said he added.
