A Naga girl was allegedly molested by a minor in South-East Delhi’s Sunlight Colony area on Monday morning. She was headed for her tuition classes at 11 am when a 17-year-old boy groped her from behind after she had earlier disregarded his lewd annotations.
Police suspect the 17-year-old had been stalking her for a while to suss out the route she took daily to reach the bus stop. Family members of the accused have been contacted to ascertain his exact age and provide documents attesting to it. He has been produced before the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) as well.
A case under Section 354 of IPC and SC/ST Act has been registered at Sunlight Colony police station. Further investigations are underway.
