Former Union Minister and Congress MP Kamal Nath on Wednesday said mushrooming private educational institutes have taken toll on quality education.
“Since education is a state subject, the Union Government has limited role in stopping this mad inflow of education shops which has deteriorated the quality of education. So such mushrooming is the biggest challenge to maintain the quality of education and hence the challenge before the education sector in India,” added Kamal Nath.
“Such scenario in the education sector may have long term adverse effect for the Indian professionals in India, as well as the global market, which is presently dominated by the Indian professionals,” added the Congress leader.
Kamal Nath was speaking to the mediapersons at the convocation ceremony of Institute of Management Technology (IMT) Ghaziabad. The chief guest at the convocation was Uday Kotak, Managing Director of Kotak Mahendra Bank.
