More 'bang' for buck! Film shoots screened by cops

Following the traffic snarls caused by closure of arterial road in Mayur Vihar area to facilitate film shooting featuring Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif, the Delhi Traffic Police on Monday amended conditions to allow such activities on city road.

In a meeting of senior officials of the department, conditions for granting such permission were reviewed and certain clauses were also amended to minimise inconvenience to commuters. The film shooting near Mayur Vihar Metro Station had to be stopped as the stretch witnessed vehicular pile-up on Sunday morning. Meanwhile, Hrithik Roshan also met Delhi Police commissioner BS Bassi on Monday morning seeking the necessary permission for the shooting. He is said to have discussed the schedule of his shoots with the police chief. The shooting of the movie Bang Bang in Delhi is scheduled till March 9.

Officials from the Traffic Police revealed that permission will now only be given after due modifications. “The shooting is likely to resume by Wednesday. We will have to choose another location where such snarls are not caused. This would be discussed with the crew members and permission will only be granted after that,” said a senior police official.
