Delhi Environment and Forest Minister Imran Hussian on Wednesday held a meeting with senior officials of forest department, Delhi Metro Railway Corporation (DMRC) and Public Works Department (PWD) in a bid to increase green cover on the open pavements, central verges, flyovers, underneath metro track and other structures constructed by DMRC and PWD.
The environment Minister directed the departments to prepare an action plan to expand Delhi green cover. The Minister observed that greenery on such structures will not only ensure control of dust and air pollution but will also help in their beautification.
