Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Chief Spokesperson Saurabh Bhardwaj on Wednesday accused the Prime Minister Narendra Modi of taking massive loans from China in the name of various schemes days after Indian soldiers killed by China.

Bhardwaj said that China killed our soldiers on June 15 but on June 19, Narendra Modi's Government took a loan of Rs 5,521 crore from China, followed by another loan of Rs 3,681 crore, till now it has taken a total loan of Rs 9,202 crore.

He also said that China's diplomacy is known as debt-trap diplomacy where they give huge loans to small countries and when they fail to repay then China takes control over those countries.

Bhardwaj said "India signed a loan agreement with the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB). In this bank, China is a key stakeholder. China wanted to set up this bank in 2013 and in 2016 India approved this bank. In January 2016 this bank was constituted”.

“China has already declared that by this bank and some other banks they want to give loans of nearly three billion dollars. China is investing in projects like roads, railway, Chennai peripheral road project, and Delhi-Meerut rapid rail project, Mumbai metro, Haryana bypass lane and others,” he said. Bhardwaj further said that there are many other countries like Srilanka where China followed the same model of capturing.

“China gave loans to Srilanka for making airports and ports. Now China has full control over the Srilankan airbase and navy base. The same way China influences Pakistan, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia and Laos. This is why Nepal or Bhutan or Bangladesh or Pakistan is not our friend but they listen to China,” he added.
