At a time when the Narendra Modi Government is giving a push to “Make in India” initiative, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) Development Forum has come up with ways to uplift the MSME sector.
Member National Board of MSME Ministry Rajnish Goenka pointed out on Wednesday that the sole objective of the forum is to transform job seekers into job creators.
“There is a huge gap between the number of youths seeking jobs and those who actually get jobs. The MSME is a non-profit organisation that works in tandem with the Government and the business sector to create jobs. The youth can be a great beneficiary from this effort as our objective is to turn job seekers into job creators,” he said.
Also, Goenka said the MSME sector is facing major difficulties in terms of implementation. “We need attention of the Government to overcome these difficulties,” Goenka added.
Editor-in-Chief of The Pioneer Chandan Mitra said the Government has been committed to work on the MSME sector. “The Government is sincere and is willing to work on MSME sector. The MSME sector needs to identify the areas need to be worked upon,” he added.
The MSME sector is the backbone of the Indian economy and important instrument for attaining inclusive and sustainable growth.
