The Delhi BJP has lauded the new Budget, granted by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, stating that it has something for every level of society. While the BJP State president Satish Upadhyay said that the Budget is a holistic one, former BJP State president Vijender Gupta called the Budget progressive, people-friendly and development oriented. According to Upadhyay, the Budget sets the foundation stone for good days ahead. He said, “The effects of the provisions made in this Budget will be felt in the next decade. This is the first occasion when the Budget has taken care of the needs of both the urban and the rural areas. While the middle-class and the poor will feel happy with this Budget, the industrialists have also welcomed it. Efforts have been made to give due respect to the young entrepreneurs, Defence forces and the women.” Additionally, Upadhyay lauded the young entrepreneurs’ fund of Rs10,000 crore and housing fund of Rs4,000 crore. “The Budget has shown sensitivity towards the youth and poor by this fund. It is going as envisaged by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to make the countrymen self-dependent and self-employed.”

Gupta added that the Budget would help India bounce back. “All possible efforts have been made to revive the economy from the state of stagnation and decline, left as the legacy of UPA rule. The budget aims to unburden the common man while showing enough fiscal prudence for long term health of the economy,” he said, adding that the Finance Minister has made a comprehensive policy document with a visionary outlook to take Indian growth story forward by leaps and bounds.
