Refusal to buy cigarette nearly cost a minor boy his life, when he was attacked with a blade by an unidentified youth in South-East Delhi’s Ambedkar Nagar area on Saturday night. According to police, “Rajesh (16), a resident of Madangir area, was on his way home when a youth waylaid him asking him to fetch a gasper from a shop nearby. But when Rajesh refused, he was slashed on the cheek with a blade.” Bleeding profusely, Rajesh managed to find his way home. His family informed police. “We have registered a case on the victim’s statement and efforts are on to nab the accused on the basis of a facial composite,” added an official.
