In a shocking incident, a 15-year old was allegedly raped by a Class X student on the school premises in Outer Delhi's Rohini area. The accused juvenile is currently on the run.
According to the police, the incident occurred on November 25 but was reported on November 28 the police. The girl a Class IX student told the police that the accused who is her senior in the school asked her to follow him as he wanted to show her something.
He took the girl to the washroom where he raped her. He threatened her with dire consequences if she disclosed the incident. The girl went home, confined herself in the room and refused to take meals. Sensing that something was amiss, her aunt cajoled her into narrating the ordeal. The girl told her that on November 25 a senior who had been stalking her for sometime raped her inside the school's washroom. The aunt immediately approached the Prashant Vihar police station. The victim refused to undergo a medical examination. The accused boy has been absconding since the incident.
The school authorities claimed that they are cooperating with the police in the investigations. They have also handed over the CCTV footage to the police. The footage clearly shows the boy
walking in the corridor and the girl following him. “A case under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) has been registered at Prashant Vihar police station,” said DCP, Outer, Vikramjit Singh.
