A 10-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her neighbour in Central Delhi’s Chandni Mahal area on Thursday night. The juvenile accused, who visited the mosque in the area, as his uncle worked at the mosque. He was later apprehended by the police.
The incident came to light when the girl’s mother found her crying outside their neighbour’s house. The victim told her mother that the accused boy took her to his house on the pretext of showing her a movie. Instead the boy showed her a pornographic movie. The boy gagged the mouth of the victim and then raped her. He threatened her of dire consequences and asked her to leave. The mother informed the cops. A medical examination of the girl confirmed rape. A case under relevant Sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) was registered at Chandni Mahal police station. The cops claimed that the boy worked at the mosque.
