A 15-year-old girl was allegedly abducted and raped by three youths on Thursday night in Garatpur Bas Village in Gurugram. The police have arrested two accused persons on the charges of abduction and gangrape while one is still at large.
The horrific invcident was reported to the police on Friday. The police took the girl for medical examination where the report confirmed rape.
The survivor hails from Garatpur Bas village in Gurugram where she resides with her family.
The victim’s uncle filed a complaint against Ankit, Mohit of Garatpur Bas Kheda village and another youth at the Badshahpur Police Station.
According to the police the survivor’s uncle stated in his complaint that on Thursday night around 11 pm the victim went outside the house to answer nature’s call but didn’t return.
Thereafter her grandmother informed the victim’s uncle about her disappearance. The family of the victim went outside to search her towards Tikli village.
“We saw a vehicle on the roadside there we noticed Ankit, Mohit and another youth who fled the spot by seeing us leaving their vehicle behind. My niece was unconscious in the vehicle. The trio had abducted the girl outside our house.
After the incident, the girl got scared. When her mother inquired about the reason for her behaviour, she broke down and narrated her ordeal the next day, the complainant alleged in his complaint.
“She revealed that the accused had forcefully abducted and raped her. They also threatened her with dire consequences if she revealed the incident to anyone.
“The probe team on Saturday arrested Ankit and Mohit from their hideout while the third accomplice is yet to be arrested.
The duo were produced before a local court on Saturday which sent them to judicial custody,” said Subhash Boken spokesperson of the Gurugram police.
“On Friday, a case was registered against the accused under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Badshahpur police station.
The minor survivor is being counselled with the help of an NGO. A police has been tasked to arrest third accused, who is on the run”, Boken added.
