The JJB had rejected the bail application of the boy, observing that he was a repeat offender. He had been earlier challaned in another case of rash driving.

Seeking bail for their son, the parents of Mercedes Hit and run accused on Saturday claimed that he has to apply for admissions in universities and thus should be granted bail.

While hastily driving a car on April 4, the teenager allegedly killed 32-year-old marketing executive Siddharth Sharma by hitting him with his car when the victim was crossing the road in Delhi’s Civil lines area. The accused was charged with culpable homicide not amounting to murder. Interestingly, the minor was about to turn 18 four days after the incident.
