A 29-year-old man was allegedly brutally murdered by his wife in front of their four year old daughter at their residence in Outer Delhi's Narela area on Monday night.
The incident was reported on Tuesday morning when the four year old girl reported about the murder of her father to her paternal grandmother who was living near their house in Narela. The incident took place in sector 5 area of Rohini District's Narela.
On Monday night, Kamal, who works as a labourer in a factory in the Narela Industrial area went home. He got into a heated argument with his wife Hansi, who is allegedly mentally deranged. The topic of argument was that Kamal was supposed to buy medicines for his wife. His wife is undergoing treatment for some disorder at Institute of Human Behavior and Allied Sciences.
The couple lived with their two daughters and one year old son. The locals shared that the woman was undergoing treatment. They often heard the couple fighting.
late on Monday night, Kamal and Hansi got into an argument. However, after having a quarrel, Kamal went to sleep.
At the time of the murder, the four year old daughter was watching TV. That was when Hansi allegedly took a hammer lying in the house and started hitting Kamal. She kept on hitting her husband till he lost consciousness. Moreover, to make sure that Kamal was dead, his wife even stabbed him with a pair of scissors.
Police said that they have sent the body of the victim for post mortem to a nearby
mortuary.
“A case has been registered under relevant sections of the IPC at the Narela police station against the woman and further probe is on,” said a senior police officer.
