“On enquiry, the man identified as 42-year-old Raj Kumar was found. He had allegedly slit the wrists of both his hands. The man is undergoing treatment at the Ram Manohar lohia hospital,” said Kumar Gyanesh, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, New Delhi district.

Police suspect that the man is mentally deranged. A medical test will be conducted to check upon his mental condition. Officials at the hospital said that he is out of danger but he has lost lot of blood and has been kept under observation.

“We have recovered a one and a half page note from his possession in which he has mentioned that he is being spied on by satellites and GPS. He is being stopped from doing his work and when he narrates it to the people, they laugh at him,” said Gyanesh.

“According to the note recovered, he was found out to be in Mukherjee Nagar, however there we no other documents found from his possessions. When, police went to the accommodation, it was found out that he lives there alone,” said Gyanesh.

After further investigation, it was found out that he hails from Ballia in Uttar Pradesh. “Once he recovers, we will record his statement”,  said Gyanesh.
