Senior Aam Aadmi Party leader and MCD in-charge Durgesh Pathak on Monday said that the teachers of BJP-ruled-municipal corporation’s schools are on protest demanding their pending salaries even after the AAP Government has already released around Rs 746 crores till October
Pathak said that the BJP-ruled Corporations have wrongly utilized the Rs 746 crores released by the AAP government for the salary of teachers and Delhi BJP chief Adesh Gupta must clarify where did this money go?
“The 14 years of BJP’s rule in Corporations has completely destroyed the functioning so much so that they are unable to pay the salaries of its employees. The doctors and nurses are on strike, workers have planned to go on strike from November 9,” he said.
Pathak said, “Delhi Government has released all funds pertaining to the salary of teachers till the month of October to all three corporations. “I want to inform all the teachers who are protesting that the Delhi Government has released your salaries till the month of October but the BJP has not processed your payments yet. They have deprived you of your salaries worth ?746 crores. BJP has made MCD as the epitome of corruption,” he said.
“The BJP has made it a vicious cycle. Whatever funds they get is used for encouraging corruption. I want to know where have the ?746 crores gone? This is a criminal activity that during the pandemic when people are already distressed, they are using their salaries to fill your own pockets and upgrading your living standards as opposed to the ones who deserve this money,” he alleged.
